Storage facility

Our storage facility is an insulated, climatised, secured indoor location. The storage facility is kept at a perfect humidity (of below 60% relative humidity) for cars. Due to the insulation of the storage facility, no significant temperature changes arise, which adds to obtaining the perfect conditions for car storage. Of course, no UV radiation is able to enter the storage facility.

The entrance to the storage facility is closed off from the public road by a gate; cars are only able to enter and leave the terrain of the storage facility through the gate. After entering the terrain of the storage facility, there is an overhead door through which cars can be driven inside. As part of security, two removable steel bollards have been placed in front of the overhead door so that cars cannot leave the storage facility without removing the steel bollards. Through the use of security cameras, the stored cars and the terrain of the storage facility are under constant surveillance.

Pre-storage preparation

Upon arrival at the storage facility, the car will be put through the pre-storage preparation upon which:

• the condition of the car is recorded;

• the steering wheel, driver’s seat and floor mats will be provided with protection covers;

• the fluid levels and battery health are checked;

• the car will be professionally cleaned; and

• a digital file of the car will be opened.

Once the car has fully dried, tyre pressures are increased, flash rust on the brake discs will be removed after which the car is ready to be put in storage.
